  • Hosts can add a local or cloud Sentinel co-host

3. Camera and microphone

Shield Zoom Sentinel Local always has camera and microphone stripped at the container boundary.

Shield is Desktop or Chrome.

For everyday isolation, choose Shield Desktop when a normal clickable Linux GUI helps, or Shield Chrome when a browser is enough.

Zoom has three paths.

Join as a participant, run a protected co-host, or start Complete when the host and co-host should launch together.

The command is the contract.

The site only builds commands. The container runs locally on the user's machine through Docker.

Ports are automatic.

The launcher starts at 8080 and moves to the next free local port when needed.

Two run paths

Use the path that matches your trust.

The terminal path is transparent and inspectable. The Mac app path is for people who trust Jeremy and want double-click simplicity.

Transparent terminal

Copy the generated command, inspect it yourself or with an AI, then run it in Terminal. This is the best path for people who do not already know Jeremy.

Signed Mac app

A Developer ID signed and notarized app can create the same launcher with double clicks on macOS. This is the community path: simpler, but it asks you to trust Jeremy's developer identity.

The strong-computer local path: Shield Zoom Desktop plus a separate local Chrome Sentinel.

  • Host runs locally in Shield Zoom Desktop
  • Sentinel runs locally in its own Chrome-only room

The hosted Shield Zoom path for account holders who want the runtime in the cloud.
